I grew up in Philadelphia, Pa in the Germantown area. From a young age I always had a fascination with nature. Specifically, the cycle of taking what was given and creating something fruitful in the end. When I was 13 years old, I started cycling with a nonprofit team called BCYC. They gave me a free bike, gear, and most importantly, the invaluable tools to leadership. I attribute most of my confidence, creativity, and discipline to the sport of cycling.

Here, I travelled across the country not only racing, but advocating for cycling safety and accessibility. As a teenager, I had the privilege to witness experiences and voices outside the bounds of my neighborhood and culture. Particularly, how in just a couple states over, one's perceived normality  can shape drastically different realities and outcomes. Hence, when I encounter betterment I always share back for the sake of growth because when we know better we do better.

I pour into spaces that give back. The BCYC organization gave me the opportunity to lead a program with an amazing team of people only to grow a space that gave me more in 5 years than I could ever return. Hence, I learned at an early age the gravity of circumstance and the leadership it takes to free those talented and good-intentioned  from the curse of misfortune.

I strive for unfamiliar territories because they offer the most opportunities for growth. In 2022, I took a leap of faith to the big apple as an intern . This opportunity later flew me to stay in LA where I discovered grit and resilience in a big city where I had no one, but me. Yet, I left with memories and a community for a lifetime.

I voice and write for those who have been silenced and stories stolen.

In 2012, my passion for storytelling was sparked when witnessing the unfair

journalism and media portrayal of Palestinian people.

The aim is always to be the adult that your younger self needed. In the midst

of school closures and insecurity, I would tell my younger self

You could never be counted out with an eye for change...
